Denílson Berger started the match with the kick off. With an all-out effort, Freixeiras's Celso Eger threw himself towards the right post 5 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Renan Coelho, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 5 minutes into the match, Renan Coelho had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Celso Eger. Boaventura SS's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Renan Coelho was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. If Ademir Mota had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Afonsinho Esteves stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Denílson Berger's shot from short distance in the 13th minute. After 15 minutes of play, Boaventura SS's Denílson Berger made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Afonsinho Esteves was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 20th match minute, Freixeiras was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Romário Soares to maneuver through the defense. Denílson Berger sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 23rd minute, Rodriguinho Borges got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Denílson Berger had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Afonsinho Esteves made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Denílson Berger in the 34th minute of play. In the 38th minute, Moisés Abreu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Moisés Abreu came up free with the goalie in the 40th minute, the Freixeiras fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Moisés Abreu couldn't finish the play. Afonsinho Esteves made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Glauco Lago in the 44th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 49th minute, Moisés Abreu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Freixeiras's supporters rose to their feet, but Moisés Abreu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Celso Eger breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.

Moisés Abreu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Denílson Berger had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Denílson Berger recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 60th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Afonsinho Esteves took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Denílson Berger, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Celso Eger made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Moisés Abreu in the 77th minute of play. 79 minutes into the match, Denílson Berger notched a goal, 2-2, to the right of Freixeiras's Afonsinho Esteves. Afonsinho Esteves was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Celso Eger showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Moisés Abreu, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 84th minute, Glauco Lago managed to get in a good position for a shot. Boaventura SS's supporters rose to their feet, but Glauco Lago was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Afonsinho Esteves breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 87th minute, Glauco Lago fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Celso Eger took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Renan Coelho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 93 played minutes Boaventura SS got a freekick which was hit by José Maria Perez. Celso Eger showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Moisés Abreu, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. The Boaventura SS players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Freixeiras from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
