Claudinei Matos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Carlos Eduardo Bezerra, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Praseras SC booed when Charitas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luiz Fabiano Magalhães didn't get a good kick on the ball. Claudinei Matos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eliézer Ortiz in the 27th minute of the match. Claudinei Matos dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Carlos Eduardo Bezerra struck a weak shot in the 31st minute. Claudinei Matos was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The audience was convinced that Carlos Eduardo Bezerra's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Claudinei Matos was relentless in the 40th minute of the game. After a defensive mix-up in Charitas's zone, Eliézer Ortiz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Claudinei Matos came out of the goal and Eliézer Ortiz tried to chip the ball over his head. Praseras SC's supporters rose to their feet, but Carlos Eduardo Bezerra was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Claudinei Matos breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Eliézer Ortiz stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Charitas's Claudinei Matos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carlos Eduardo Bezerra in the 65th minute of play. After some careless play in the Charitas defense, Eliézer Ortiz kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Claudinei Matos. The Charitas fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Claudinei Matos should have stopped the shot. Carlos Eduardo Bezerra was extremely unlucky when he, in the 74th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. With his leg Claudinei Matos managed to avoid a goal in the 75thth minute, when Praseras SC's Eliézer Ortiz fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 79th minute Carlos Eduardo Bezerra shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Claudinei Matos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Charitas's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Praseras SC the free kick. In the 91st minute, José Pedro Dionísio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Claudinei Matos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eliézer Ortiz in the 94th minute of play. Carlos Eduardo Bezerra's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Claudinei Matos read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 95th minute of play. Praseras SC played a much better game than Charitas and deserved their victory. The Charitas players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
