Lúcio Maia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Richard Eger having to interfere. If Alessandro Sabóia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 12 played minutes RAMBO got a freekick which was hit by Júlio Figueiredo. If Alan Abraão had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Richard Eger showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Toninho Rosa in the 16th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 17th minute, Alan Abraão managed to get in a good position for a shot. Barcelona's supporters rose to their feet, but Alan Abraão was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Richard Eger breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Richard Eger made a fantastic save in the 19th minute, when Alan Abraão sent off a good shot on target. 21 minutes into the game, Mateus Vander cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Isaltino Baptista was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Isaltino Baptista showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Geovanni Machado in the 26th minute of the match. In the 27th minute Alessandro Sabóia suffered a foot injury and had to be helped off the field. After 27 minutes, Dagoberto Valle mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the RAMBO and the Barcelona players grew even worse after the yellow card. Barcelona's Gabriel Quaresma was substituted for Alessandro Sabóia. Richard Eger made an important save on a dangerous shot by Alan Abraão in the 33rd minute. Alan Abraão's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 35thth minute, Richard Eger skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Isaltino Baptista showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mateus Vander, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. Gabriel Quaresma recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 41st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

In the 54th minute Toninho Rosa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Richard Eger saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Geovanni Machado in the 63rd minute of play forced Barcelona's goalkeeper Isaltino Baptista to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Vladimir Marinho scored 1-2 in the 65th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Isaltino Baptista, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Mateus Vander who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 72ndth minute tested the skills of Isaltino Baptista when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Jonathan Queirós's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Isaltino Baptista firmly grabbed it by the left post. 75 minutes into the match, Barcelona's goalkeeper Isaltino Baptista had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Mateus Vander. Isaltino Baptista made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Geovanni Machado in the 78th minute of play. Geovanni Machado took the ball and in the 80 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Isaltino Baptista. Isaltino Baptista dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-3. Barcelona's Isaltino Baptista played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Geovanni Machado in the 84th minute of play. Cléber Dantas fired away a difficult shot at goal in the 87th minute. He almost succeeded, but the ball went over. It was a very nice shot. 93 minutes into the match, Barcelona's goal looked a bit too open when Geovanni Machado came free, but Isaltino Baptista reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 95th minute of the match RAMBO got a corner. Barcelona's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Marcelo Simão ran over to the corner to take the kick. In the 97th match minute, Barcelona was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nilson Pena to maneuver through the defense. Chants of RAMBO echoed around the stadium as the match drew to a close. Supporters and players were both delighted with the win, as Barcelona had held the ball for most of the match.
