Carregador SC's supporters rose to their feet, but Júnior Zanette was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rodrigo Travassos breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Cássio Marquez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 38th minute Júnior Zanette shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rodrigo Travassos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rodrigo Travassos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Júnior Zanette, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 44th match minute, Tricolor FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Michel Gonçalves to maneuver through the defense. Cássio Marquez's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rodrigo Travassos read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 45th minute of play. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

51 minutes into the match, Tricolor FC's goal looked a bit too open when Evaristo Prestes came free, but Rodrigo Travassos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Júnior Zanette couldn't finish the play. With an all-out effort, Carregador SC's Rodrigo Travassos threw himself towards the right post 58 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Cássio Marquez, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Gerson de Andrade charged in rather forcefully in the 58th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gerson de Andrade the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 60th minute, Cássio Marquez fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Rodrigo Travassos, passed just outside the right post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cássio Marquez in the 63rd minute of play forced Tricolor FC's goalkeeper Rodrigo Travassos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Carregador SC's Cássio Marquez got a good chance for a goal in the 64th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 68th minute, Tricolor FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Cássio Marquez fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Cássio Marquez recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 71st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 73rd minute, Gilson Soeiro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tricolor FC's Rodrigo Travassos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cássio Marquez in the 74th minute of play. Carregador SC's Cássio Marquez managed to work through Tricolor FC's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Cássio Marquez dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. Rodrigo Travassos made a fantastic save in the 85th minute, when Júnior Zanette sent off a good shot on target. 87 minutes into the match, Carregador SC's Cássio Marquez sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Rodrigo Travassos narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Cássio Marquez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rodrigo Travassos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cássio Marquez in the 94th minute of play. In the 98th minute Cássio Marquez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rodrigo Travassos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
