Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Ken Etii started the match with the kick off. Raí Monteiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ken Etii in the 10th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Guarucity's zone, Ken Etii stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Raí Monteiro came out of the goal and Ken Etii tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Patryk Pilitowski fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Raí Monteiro having to interfere. In the 16th minute, Jonas Fernandes ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Raí Monteiro was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. 21 minutes into the game, Glauco Lara cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Edmundo Passos was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 24th minute of the match, Pedrão Pereira got a very nice opportunity to score, but Edmundo Passos was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. When LuthorCorp FC's Ken Etii in the 26th minute got a chance for a shot 26th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Guarucity's goalie prevented a goal. Jonas Fernandes's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Raí Monteiro read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 28th minute of play. 29 minutes into the match, Guarucity's goal looked a bit too open when Ken Etii came free, but Raí Monteiro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Severino Cearense had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Guarucity's José Carlos Maranhense got a free kick in the 36th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ken Etii in the 38th minute of play forced Guarucity's goalkeeper Raí Monteiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 41 minutes, Ken Etii managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. LuthorCorp FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ken Etii was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Patryk Pilitowski sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Raí Monteiro stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ken Etii's shot from short distance in the 44th minute. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.
The wind increased when Glauco Lara made the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Guarucity getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Tales da Rocha hit a great ball. Ken Etii sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Guarucity's defense didn't have a chance, in the 63rd minute, when Jonas Fernandes scored to the left of an out of position Raí Monteiro, making the score, 1-3. Raí Monteiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ken Etii in the 70th minute of play. Raí Monteiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jonas Fernandes, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. 73 minutes into the match, LuthorCorp FC's Jonas Fernandes sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Raí Monteiro narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Raí Monteiro stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ken Etii's shot from short distance in the 74th minute. In the 77th minute the ball was on its way in behind Guarucity's goalkeeper Raí Monteiro, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Severino Cearense received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Raí Monteiro came out and tried to block the shot, but Severino Cearense slotted it home off the left post making it 1-4 in the 78th minute. Raí Monteiro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ken Etii in the 83rd minute of the match. Through an outstanding action, after 85 minutes, Raí Monteiro successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. After a rather tough play, LuthorCorp FC's Patryk Pilitowski got a free kick in the 89th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Guarucity's zone, Ken Etii stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Raí Monteiro came out of the goal and Ken Etii tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Ken Etii came up free with the goalie in the 93rd minute, the LuthorCorp FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ken Etii couldn't finish the play. LuthorCorp FC played a much better game than Guarucity and deserved their victory. The Guarucity players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
