Ulysses Maranhense's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Vladimir Loureiro read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 9th minute of play. Vladimir Loureiro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Roger Pombal in the 10th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marcel Correia in the 16th minute of play forced Brancos FC's goalkeeper Vladimir Loureiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Brancos FC's zone, Roger Pombal stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Vladimir Loureiro came out of the goal and Roger Pombal tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Vladimir Loureiro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Roger Pombal in the 28th minute of the match. After 31 minutes, Evaristo Vieira mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Brancos FC and the Sunderland FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ulysses Maranhense couldn't finish the play. Vladimir Loureiro came out and tried to block the shot, but Roger Pombal slotted it home off the left post making it 0-7 in the 89th minute. 92 minutes into the game, Ulysses Maranhense cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-8. Vladimir Loureiro was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. A collision led to Sunderland FC getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Samuca Donato hit a great ball. The Brancos FC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Sunderland FC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
