The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. David Cunha's late challenge caught a AC Indaial's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. David Cunha helped the player get up and apologised. After 5 played minutes Ipigua got a freekick which was hit by David Cunha. Erivaldo Maciel didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Clark Langston went, in the 7th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Jefferson Bertassi hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. If Clark Langston had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Erivaldo Maciel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Faustão Dantas, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. AC Indaial's Mito Ceni played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Naldo Vaz in the 20th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Clark Langston got free with Erivaldo Maciel in the 21st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A very nice done corner allowed Anfilogino Barchiesi to score against Erivaldo Maciel in Ipigua's goal. 2-0 after 23 minutes. Ipigua's Erivaldo Maciel proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 26th minute of the match, managed to save Ipigua from getting a goal against them. A collision led to Ipigua getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Gino Barros hit a great ball. Eliézer Dracena scored 3-0 in the 34th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Erivaldo Maciel, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 37 minutes into the game, Clark Langston cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-0. Erivaldo Maciel was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After a rather tough play, AC Indaial's Guga Faria got a free kick in the 41st minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Mário Rosado during the 47th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Naldo Vaz stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Jefferson Bertassi hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. 55 minutes into the match, Ipigua's goal looked a bit too open when Eliézer Dracena came free, but Erivaldo Maciel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gino Barros kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. Erivaldo Maciel came out of the goal in the 60th minute to try and stop a shot by AC Indaial's Inácio Gerber. But to his dismay, Inácio Gerber quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-0. Mário Rosado struck a weak shot in the 63rd minute. Mito Ceni didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ipigua. After 64 played minutes AC Indaial got a freekick which was hit by Jefferson Bertassi. Clark Langston sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 70th match minute, Ipigua was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gerson Sampaio to maneuver through the defense. Jefferson Bertassi hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. In the 75th minute, Clark Langston made a precise shot to the right of Erivaldo Maciel. Ipigua's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 6-0. Tião Hoffmann charged in rather forcefully in the 79th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Tião Hoffmann the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 79th minute, Tião Hoffmann hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Erivaldo Maciel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eliézer Dracena, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. Mário Rosado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ipigua's Erivaldo Maciel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Clark Langston in the 89th minute of play. Jefferson Bertassi hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. Mito Ceni took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Naldo Vaz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ipigua's Erivaldo Maciel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Clark Langston in the 94th minute of play. In the 96th minute, one of Ipigua:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Ipigua. Clark Langston placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! When the referee ended the match the AC Indaial players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
