The ball had pretty good speed, but Frédson Albuquerque firmly grabbed it by the left post. The audience thought a goal was coming when Artur de Sousa got free with Frédson Albuquerque in the 13th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Atletic Dildoa's Frédson Albuquerque played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Artur de Sousa in the 16th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sydney Moreira in the 19th minute of play forced Atletic Dildoa's goalkeeper Frédson Albuquerque to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Frédson Albuquerque was a little too slow when Jacinto Moura got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 23rd minute. The score was now 1-0. When Laércio de Almeida came up free with the goalie in the 27th minute, the Atletic Dildoa fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Laércio de Almeida couldn't finish the play. Edgar Luz kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. Eriberto Almeida recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 29th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Frédson Albuquerque showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sydney Moreira, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Sydney Moreira was the one to do the kick off. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Carlos Eduardo Dracena helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Atletic Dildoa's Carlos Eduardo Dracena got a free kick in the 61st minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Amadeu Sabóia in the 65th minute of play forced Atletic Dildoa's goalkeeper Frédson Albuquerque to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Amadeu Sabóia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Frédson Albuquerque having to interfere. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
