Ryleon FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but José Carioca was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Dudu Bittencourt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 12th minute, Felipe Linares hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Leopoldo Gonçalves took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dudu Bittencourt, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luís Paulo Carioca in the 14th minute of play forced Ryleon FC's goalkeeper Aloísio Camargo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ryleon FC's Aloísio Camargo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luís Paulo Carioca in the 16th minute of play. When Corte AD's Luís Paulo Carioca in the 17th minute got a chance for a shot 17th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Aloísio Camargo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Luís Paulo Carioca went, in the 22nd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Dudu Bittencourt received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Leopoldo Gonçalves tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Leopoldo Gonçalves made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dudu Bittencourt in the 35th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luís Paulo Carioca in the 37th minute of play forced Ryleon FC's goalkeeper Aloísio Camargo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Luís Paulo Carioca had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Aloísio Camargo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Válter Arantes in the 41st minute of the match.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Válter Arantes to make the kick off. With a little luck, Ryleon FC's Aloísio Camargo got control of the ball when Luís Paulo Carioca tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ryleon FC's José Carioca got a good chance for a goal in the 55th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 89thth minute of the game Válter Arantes who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ryleon FC's Aloísio Camargo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Válter Arantes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
