Marcinho Tinoco kicked well hit freekick during the 7th minute of the match. 9 minutes into the match, Odono's goalkeeper Gilson Ortiz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Nilmar Velasco. 10 minutes into the match, Odono's goal looked a bit too open when Frank Queirós came free, but Gilson Ortiz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 12 minutes into the game, Odono's Dida Ceresso nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Mané Batista made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Mané Batista made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dida Ceresso in the 14th minute of play. Littles's Mané Batista played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Anísio Ribeiro in the 15th minute of play. Fellipe Batista received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Gilson Ortiz came out and tried to block the shot, but Fellipe Batista slotted it home off the left post making it 1-1 in the 19th minute. Gilson Ortiz was out of position in the 22 minute of play, and Nilmar Velasco capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Nilmar Velasco really showed his touch with that goal: 2-1. Anísio Ribeiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Dida Ceresso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mané Batista having to interfere. In the 34th minute Fellipe Batista shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gilson Ortiz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, Odono's Gilson Ortiz got control of the ball when Nilmar Velasco tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 38th minute, Fellipe Batista made a precise shot to the right of Gilson Ortiz. Odono's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-1. After a defensive mix-up in Odono's zone, Nilmar Velasco stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gilson Ortiz came out of the goal and Nilmar Velasco tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Odono's Gilson Ortiz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Frank Queirós in the 42nd minute of play. After 44 played minutes Odono got a freekick which was hit by Anísio Ribeiro. Frank Queirós sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Frank Queirós to make the kick off. 53 minutes into the match, Beto Paiva had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Gilson Ortiz. Odono's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Beto Paiva was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-1. Gilson Ortiz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fellipe Batista, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. In the 57th minute, Nilmar Velasco left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Littles fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-1. Littles made a substitution. Zbyszko Filanowski replaced Nilton Matos. Littles's Zbyszko Filanowski got a good chance for a goal in the 61st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Nilmar Velasco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Gilson Ortiz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Littles booed when Odono was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Anísio Ribeiro didn't get a good kick on the ball. Littles's Frank Queirós got a good chance for a goal in the 66th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 67 played minutes Odono got a freekick which was hit by André Luís Peixoto. Zbyszko Filanowski fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gilson Ortiz having to interfere. Gilson Ortiz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zbyszko Filanowski in the 73rd minute of the match. With an all-out effort, Odono's Mané Batista threw himself towards the right post 76 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Dida Ceresso, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Littles's João Pedro Ferreira was substituted for Nilmar Velasco. If João Pedro Ferreira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gilson Ortiz didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Zbyszko Filanowski went, in the 83rd minute, to the upper right corner, 6-1 was the resulting score. 86 minutes into the game, João Pedro Ferreira cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 7-1. Gilson Ortiz was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Littles made a substitution. Fabrício Miranda replaced Vágner Corrêa. Gilson Ortiz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zbyszko Filanowski, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. In the 91st match minute, Odono was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Serginho Leal to maneuver through the defense. 94 minutes into the game, Zbyszko Filanowski cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 8-1.
