In the 14th match minute, FURG São Lourenço FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ediberto Tróia to maneuver through the defense. Luciano Azevedo took the ball and in the 18 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Lucas Castro. Lucas Castro dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. When Anderson Peres came up free with the goalie in the 23rd minute, the Lods United fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Anderson Peres couldn't finish the play. Anderson Peres's late challenge caught a FURG São Lourenço FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Anderson Peres helped the player get up and apologised. In the 27th match minute, Lods United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Anderson Peres to maneuver through the defense. Sven-Arne Lange let the left foot speak when in front of goal in the 30th minute shot 2-1 at rihgt post. Eliseu Matorin came out of the goal in the 34th minute to try and stop a shot by FURG São Lourenço FC's Sven-Arne Lange. But to his dismay, Sven-Arne Lange quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. When Luciano Azevedo fell near the penalty area in the 42nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Lods United's protests and gave Luciano Azevedo a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Lods United's Luciano Azevedo got a free kick in the 43rd minute. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 4-1 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Anderson Peres to strike the kick off in the second half. Luciano Azevedo hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Lods United's zone, Sven-Arne Lange stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eliseu Matorin came out of the goal and Sven-Arne Lange tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Geovanni Carneiro's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Lucas Castro read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 64th minute of play. Anderson Peres sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd rose to their feet as Luciano Azevedo kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Lucas Castro. That made the score 4-2 in the 70 minute of play. Michal Pazdan kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. 76 minutes into the match, Geovanni Carneiro notched a goal, 4-3, to the right of FURG São Lourenço FC's Lucas Castro. Lucas Castro was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. If Geovanni Carneiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Lods United's zone, Sven-Arne Lange stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eliseu Matorin came out of the goal and Sven-Arne Lange tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 85th minute, Dieguinho Alvarenga hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to FURG São Lourenço FC getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Luís Fernando da Silveira hit a great ball. When Anderson Peres came up free with the goalie in the 89th minute, the Lods United fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Anderson Peres couldn't finish the play. In the 95th minute, Oswaldo Matorin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. FURG São Lourenço FC had played much better football throughout.
