Basílio Trancoso came out of the goal and Kaká Messias tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The attack was good, but when Paulo José Hermes in the 93rd minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Ituverava's Kaká Messias got a good chance for a goal in the 95th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 97 minutes into the match, Pato Branco's goal looked a bit too open when Kaká Messias came free, but Basílio Trancoso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. Pato Branco were victorious despite being under pressure from Ituverava for much of the match.
