In the 28th minute Cesinha Carioca shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Elder Queiroz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fabinho Andrade took the ball and in the 31 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Rony Varela. Rony Varela dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Severino Rocha's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 34thth minute, Elder Queiroz skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. A hard shot 38 in the game by Severino Rocha from a close distance when the talented Elder Queiroz managed to make a qualified save. Ibatuba EC's players were relieved. If Cesinha Carioca had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cássio Souza in the 42nd minute of play forced Ourupu's goalkeeper Rony Varela to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Ibatuba EC getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Marquinhos Saraiva hit a great ball. In the 43rd minute of the match Cesinha Carioca shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Elder Queiroz showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Ibatuba EC's Elder Queiroz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cesinha Carioca in the 47th minute of play. After the first half Ibatuba EC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Severino Rocha to strike the kick off in the second half. Severino Rocha took the ball and in the 53 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Elder Queiroz. Elder Queiroz dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. After having played for 57 minutes, Pedro Luiz Silva managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ourupu's supporters crossed their fingers, but Pedro Luiz Silva was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 59thth minute of the game Severino Rocha who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ibatuba EC's Elder Queiroz was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Cauan Furtado fell near the penalty area in the 60th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ibatuba EC's protests and gave Cauan Furtado a yellow card for diving instead. 60 minutes into the game, one of Ibatuba EC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Ibatuba EC's Elder Queiroz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Severino Rocha in the 71st minute of play. 71 minutes into the game, Fabinho Andrade was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ibatuba EC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ourupu the free kick. The supporters of Ourupu booed when Ibatuba EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fabinho Andrade didn't get a good kick on the ball. Severino Rocha struck a weak shot in the 73rd minute. Elder Queiroz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ourupu. Ourupu were furious when Oscar Abreu was red carded, 75 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. After 75 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Ourupu! In the 80th minute, Cesinha Carioca left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ourupu fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. Pedro Luiz Silva fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Elder Queiroz having to interfere. Cesinha Carioca might have been able to make a better finish in the 86th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Elder Queiroz. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Cesinha Carioca ran back to his position shaking his head. When Pedro Luiz Silva came up free with the goalie in the 88th minute, the Ourupu fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Pedro Luiz Silva couldn't finish the play. After some fancy dribbling in the 89th minute, Pedro Luiz Silva managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ourupu's supporters rose to their feet, but Pedro Luiz Silva was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Elder Queiroz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Cauan Furtado was shown his second yellow card after 90 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. In the 92nd match minute, Ibatuba EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cauan Furtado to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Ourupu booed when Ibatuba EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fabinho Andrade didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rony Varela made an important save on a dangerous shot by Thomás Souto in the 97th minute. When Pedro Luiz Silva came up free with the goalie in the 99th minute, the Ourupu fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Pedro Luiz Silva couldn't finish the play. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Ourupu fully deserved thier win.
