Egídio Velasco breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience was convinced that Manoel Guerra's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Egídio Velasco was relentless in the 23rd minute of the game. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Manoel Guerra in the 37th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Egídio Velasco prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Egídio Velasco made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ernest Adomniței in the 38th minute. Manoel Guerra received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Egídio Velasco came out and tried to block the shot, but Manoel Guerra slotted it home off the left post making it 3-0 in the 40th minute. Sydney Paraense fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Egídio Velasco having to interfere. After having played for 46 minutes, Manoel Guerra managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Falastrão FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Manoel Guerra was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 47th minute, Ernest Adomniței got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

When the match had gone on for 55 minutes, Manoel Guerra put it in 4-0 from a short distance just to the right of Egídio Velasco. Perivaldo Netto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Manoel Guerra had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Luís Fabiano Quadros hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Mariante's zone, Ernest Adomniței stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Egídio Velasco came out of the goal and Ernest Adomniței tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Manoel Guerra in the 67th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Egídio Velasco saved Mariante from getting behind. After a defensive mix-up in Mariante's zone, Ernest Adomniței stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Egídio Velasco came out of the goal and Ernest Adomniței tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 74th minute the ball was on its way in behind Mariante's goalkeeper Egídio Velasco, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Manoel Guerra sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 91 minutes into the match, Manoel Guerra had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Egídio Velasco. Mariante's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Manoel Guerra was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-0. Manoel Guerra might have been able to make a better finish in the 97th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Egídio Velasco. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Manoel Guerra ran back to his position shaking his head.
