Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Kiko Penha started the match with the kick off. Walmyr Reis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alexandre Fantini, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 6th minute Sidnei Moreno shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lino Maia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 7 played minutes Gentileza got a freekick which was hit by Elano Perez. 11 minutes into the match, Gentileza's goal looked a bit too open when Sidnei Moreno came free, but Lino Maia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Albertinho Linhares could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 13th minute of the match, but Walmyr Reis made a huge save. In the 14th minute, Dedé Neves ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Walmyr Reis was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Albertinho Linhares scored 2-0 in the 17th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Walmyr Reis, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Walmyr Reis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alexandre Fantini, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the match had gone on for 22 minutes, Alexandre Fantini took a quick shot and it went in 3-0 without a chance for Walmyr Reis to make any attempt to save it. In the 26th minute, Kiko Penha ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Lino Maia was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. Gentileza's Lino Maia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Moisés Abreu in the 35th minute of play. In the 36th minute of the match, Matías Santana tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Walmyr Reis saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Walmyr Reis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Matías Santana in the 39th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sílvio Luiz Coutinho in the 42nd minute of play forced Gentileza's goalkeeper Lino Maia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee felt a red card was in order, 45 minutes into the game, when Mazinho Cavalcante put in a rough tackle. After 45 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Grêmio B! Af the end of the first half the score was 3-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Matías Santana stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd match minute, Grêmio B was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edson Paranaense to maneuver through the defense. Grêmio B's Walmyr Reis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Albertinho Linhares in the 55th minute of play. Walmyr Reis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eurico Medeiros, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Walmyr Reis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Matías Santana in the 63rd minute of the match. Walmyr Reis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alexandre Fantini in the 66th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Albertinho Linhares in the 67th minute of play forced Grêmio B's goalkeeper Walmyr Reis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 70th match minute, Gentileza was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zeca Trigo to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eurico Medeiros in the 81st minute of play forced Grêmio B's goalkeeper Walmyr Reis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 82 minutes into the match, Albertinho Linhares had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Walmyr Reis. Grêmio B's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Albertinho Linhares was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-2. 87 minutes into the match, Grêmio B's goal looked a bit too open when Matías Santana came free, but Walmyr Reis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Walmyr Reis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Albertinho Linhares in the 89th minute of the match. Walmyr Reis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Matías Santana, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Grêmio B's zone, Albertinho Linhares stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Walmyr Reis came out of the goal and Albertinho Linhares tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Gentileza's Maurinho Eger quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Guilherme Paiva, made in the 95th minute of the game. When the referee ended the match the Gentileza players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
