In the 9th minute of the match, Gugu Teles tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Paulo José França saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. If Almir Schmidt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 12th minute, Gugu Teles managed to get in a good position for a shot. SE Stiflers's supporters rose to their feet, but Gugu Teles was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Paulo José França breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Paulo José França was a little too slow when Gugu Teles got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 16th minute. The score was now 1-0. If Romário de Lima had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Romário de Lima's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Renatinho Faria read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 21st minute of play. When the match had gone on for 23 minutes, Gugu Teles put it in 2-0 from a short distance just to the right of Paulo José França. When Almir Schmidt came up free with the goalie in the 28th minute, the SE Stiflers fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Almir Schmidt couldn't finish the play. In the 30th minute Ruy Alcântara shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Renatinho Faria saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Paulo José França stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Almir Schmidt's shot from short distance in the 36th minute. Renatinho Faria made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ruy Alcântara in the 40th minute of play. After 41 played minutes VECTRA FUTEBOL CLUBE got a freekick which was hit by Armandinho Lago. SE Stiflers's Gugu Teles shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 43rd minute of play. The shot was stopped by Paulo José França but with some difficulty.

SE Stiflers's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gugu Teles was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Paulo José França showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mauro de Amorim, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. The supporters of SE Stiflers booed when VECTRA FUTEBOL CLUBE was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Humberto de Sousa didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mauro de Amorim recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 85th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.
