Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Rafinha Reis started the match with the kick off. The crowd rose to their feet as Celsinho Gonçalves kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Ronaldão Freitas. Celsinho Gonçalves fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ronaldão Freitas having to interfere. 14 minutes into the match, Oxford United Fc's Sydney Rezende sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Joel de Amorim narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After having played for 15 minutes, Emerson Furtado managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Costao's supporters crossed their fingers, but Emerson Furtado was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ronaldão Freitas made an important save on a dangerous shot by Celsinho Gonçalves in the 16th minute. In the 18th minute Emerson Furtado shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ronaldão Freitas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 29th minute, Emerson Furtado managed to get in a good position for a shot. Costao's supporters rose to their feet, but Emerson Furtado was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ronaldão Freitas breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Oswaldo de Salles kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. Celsinho Gonçalves recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 37th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience was convinced that Emerson Furtado's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ronaldão Freitas was relentless in the 40th minute of the game. Emerson Furtado received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Ronaldão Freitas came out and tried to block the shot, but Emerson Furtado slotted it home off the left post making it 3-0 in the 44th minute. If Rafinha Reis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Emerson Furtado made a kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emerson Furtado in the 52nd minute of play forced Oxford United Fc's goalkeeper Ronaldão Freitas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Celsinho Gonçalves had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Ronaldão Freitas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Celsinho Gonçalves in the 66th minute of the match. Ronaldão Freitas stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Celsinho Gonçalves's shot from short distance in the 67th minute. Celsinho Gonçalves received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Ronaldão Freitas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sydney Rezende struck a weak shot in the 96th minute. Joel de Amorim didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Oxford United Fc. In the 97th minute, Sidney Rodrigues hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
