Spectators: 7217 (Terracing: 5414, Seating: 1660, VIP seats: 143) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Agenor Varela kicked off to start the match. Hernani Azevedo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Agenor Varela's shot from short distance in the 7th minute. 8 minutes into the game, Hélio Jacinto was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Gomalina's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Olaria A.C. the free kick. In the 8th match minute, Gomalina was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hélio Jacinto to maneuver through the defense. When the match clock showed 9 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Agenor Varela sped through Gomalina's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Hernani Azevedo. Agenor Varela sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Hélio Jacinto hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. Agenor Varela might have been able to make a better finish in the 15th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Hernani Azevedo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Agenor Varela ran back to his position shaking his head. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Agenor Varela in the 17th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Hernani Azevedo saved Gomalina from getting behind. Juan Simões could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 19th minute of the match, but Danilo Andrade made a huge save. If Juan Simões had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Agenor Varela sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 30th minute, Mané Paraibano got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 35 minutes, Agenor Varela made it 0-2 with a short kick to the right side. Gomalina's Hernani Azevedo tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Agenor Varela recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 38th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some careless play in the Gomalina defense, Agenor Varela kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Hernani Azevedo. The Gomalina fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Hernani Azevedo should have stopped the shot. In the 44th minute, Rubens Ramalho hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Juan Simões to make the kick off. In the 52nd match minute, Gomalina was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rafa Madureira to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 59th minute, Agenor Varela managed to get in a good position for a shot. Olaria A.C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Agenor Varela was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hernani Azevedo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 60th minute, Mané Paraibano fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Rubens Ramalho's late challenge caught a Gomalina's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Rubens Ramalho helped the player get up and apologised. In the 66th match minute, Olaria A.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rubens Ramalho to maneuver through the defense. Durvalino Goiano struck a weak shot in the 73rd minute. Hernani Azevedo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Olaria A.C.. Agenor Varela sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mauro Souto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Danilo Andrade having to interfere. In the 82nd minute, Juan Simões left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Gomalina fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-3. Rubens Ramalho might have been able to make a better finish in the 86th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Hernani Azevedo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Rubens Ramalho ran back to his position shaking his head. Hernani Azevedo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Agenor Varela, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. Agenor Varela was extremely unlucky when he, in the 96th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out.
