In the 35th minute Dedê Trigo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Váldson Salgado saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Capeller-FC's Dedê Trigo got a good chance for a goal in the 42nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Dedê Trigo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Abel Duarte in the 53rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Váldson Salgado saved Tangerina from getting behind. After a defensive mix-up in Capeller-FC's zone, Wilian Baptista stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gong Di Yuan came out of the goal and Wilian Baptista tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Dedê Trigo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Váldson Salgado having to make a save. Willian Garcia's late challenge caught a Tangerina's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Willian Garcia helped the player get up and apologised. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Abel Duarte in the 66th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Váldson Salgado prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 70thth minute of the game Abel Duarte who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Tangerina's Váldson Salgado was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 71st minute, Enéas Vieira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Dedê Trigo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
