The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. The audience was convinced that Pedrinho Fontes's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gugu Martins was relentless in the 41st minute of the game. Dagoberto Amaral fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gugu Martins having to interfere. Pedrinho Fontes blasted a shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Gugu Martins having to make a save. Cássio Figueiredo hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. Norberto Brito made an important save on a dangerous shot by Josué Moreira in the 88th minute. If Gerson Silva had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 91st minute the ball was on its way in behind Calango's goalkeeper Norberto Brito, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Calango's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
