Bernardinho do Vale showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Erik Cerezo, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. When Alan Batista came up free with the goalie in the 20th minute, the Neris SS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alan Batista couldn't finish the play. Gualter Sousa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aleandro Cabral in the 22nd minute of the match. In the 23rd match minute, Neris SS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Carlos Alberto Mazza to maneuver through the defense. In the 27th minute, Neris SS's Aleandro Cabral dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aleandro Cabral in the 31st minute of play forced Lajedinho AD's goalkeeper Gualter Sousa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gualter Sousa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aleandro Cabral in the 33rd minute of play. Lajedinho AD's Gualter Sousa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 35th minute of the match, managed to save Lajedinho AD from getting a goal against them. In the 35th match minute, Neris SS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by William Alvarenga to maneuver through the defense. Bernardinho do Vale made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cláudio Teles in the 36th minute of play. Rodriguinho Tavares's late challenge caught a Neris SS's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Rodriguinho Tavares helped the player get up and apologised. Rodriguinho Tavares kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. In the 40th minute, Luizinho Baptista sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Lajedinho AD's Gualter Sousa didn't even have to move. Bernardinho do Vale showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cláudio Teles in the 43rd minute of the match. Cláudio Teles fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bernardinho do Vale having to interfere. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Aleandro Cabral to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Lajedinho AD's goalkeeper Gualter Sousa, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Aleandro Cabral in the 55th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gualter Sousa prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After having played for 56 minutes, Alan Batista managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Neris SS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alan Batista was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 59th match minute, Lajedinho AD was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Didi Tande to maneuver through the defense. After recieving a nice pass, Neris SS's Luizinho Baptista tried to score from far away in the 60th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. A collision led to Lajedinho AD getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Cláudio Teles hit a great ball. Aleandro Cabral might have been able to make a better finish in the 67th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gualter Sousa. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Aleandro Cabral ran back to his position shaking his head. Gualter Sousa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aleandro Cabral in the 69th minute of play. When Alan Batista came up free with the goalie in the 73rd minute, the Neris SS fans jumped to their feet. Lajedinho AD's Cláudio Teles got a good chance for a goal in the 91st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Erik Cerezo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Bernardinho do Vale tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 95th minute, Aleandro Cabral got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Neris SS had won after a very even match.
