After having played for 6 minutes, Oswaldo Faria managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Tamboril's supporters crossed their fingers, but Oswaldo Faria was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Raios Cosmo's Ernani Mendonça proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 9th minute of the match, managed to save Raios Cosmo from getting a goal against them. After 15 minutes Raios Cosmo's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Wilson Pirani who took care of the corner kick. If Oswaldo Faria had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Fernandinho Leme during the 20th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Tamboril booed when Raios Cosmo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fernandinho Leme didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tiaguinho Queiroz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Ernani Mendonça tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 26th minute, Jefferson Amaral hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Raios Cosmo's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Tiaguinho Queiroz 31 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-0. In the 37th match minute, Tamboril was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Wilson Pirani to maneuver through the defense. Raios Cosmo's Ernani Mendonça proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 48th minute of the match, managed to save Raios Cosmo from getting a goal against them.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Cristinel Miniș stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tiaguinho Queiroz in the 53rd minute of play forced Raios Cosmo's goalkeeper Ernani Mendonça to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 62 played minutes Tamboril got a freekick which was hit by Tiaguinho Queiroz. Eugênio da Costa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aloísio Pires having to interfere. 73 minutes into the game, Eugênio da Costa recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Aloísio Pires. Eugênio da Costa showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. Wilson Pirani hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Tamboril's zone, Eugênio da Costa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Aloísio Pires came out of the goal and Eugênio da Costa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a little luck, Tamboril's Aloísio Pires got control of the ball when Cristinel Miniș tried to sneak it across the goal line. A collision led to Raios Cosmo getting a freekick after 91 minutes play. Fernandinho Leite hit a great ball. If Oswaldo Faria had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tiaguinho Queiroz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ernani Mendonça having to interfere. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
