After 8 minutes of play, Redoval AD's André Luís Fernandez made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Wágner Nunes was left in no man's land by his defense there! With a couple of smart ball manuevers Edinho de Queiroz in the 11th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Wágner Nunes saved Esquerda from getting behind. If Murilo Rossi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 16th minute, Valdemar Santos ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Wágner Nunes was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. Júnior Melo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 19th minute of the match, but Juvenal Schmidt made a huge save. Wágner Nunes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Valdemar Santos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Wágner Nunes made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-5. In the 47th minute of the match Esquerda got a corner. Redoval AD's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Guga Souza ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Kaká Diniz almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Redoval AD's Juvenal Schmidt did a great save. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-5 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Elias de Amaral stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 51 minutes of play, Redoval AD's André Luís Fernandez made it 0-6 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Wágner Nunes was left in no man's land by his defense there! 55 minutes into the match, Régis Silva had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Juvenal Schmidt. Redoval AD's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Régis Silva was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-6. Edinho de Queiroz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Esquerda's defense didn't have a chance, in the 67th minute, when Valdemar Santos scored to the left of an out of position Wágner Nunes, making the score, 1-8. Wágner Nunes stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Valdemar Santos's shot from short distance in the 76th minute. The referee ignored Redoval AD's protests and gave Jefferson Valle a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Redoval AD's Jefferson Valle got a free kick in the 88th minute. André Luís Fernandez came free with the goalkeeper in the 92nd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Wágner Nunes could save by the left post. Wágner Nunes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edinho de Queiroz in the 94th minute of play. Redoval AD's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
