The Feliciano fans' excitement grew in the 31st match minute when Feliciano's Allan Silva looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 35th minute of the match Orlando Leite shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Juvenal Matos showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Furacão F.V.C's Juvenal Matos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eduardo Guimarães in the 36th minute of play. Allan Silva might have been able to make a better finish in the 37th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Juvenal Matos. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Allan Silva ran back to his position shaking his head. Juvenal Matos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Allan Silva, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. After the first half Feliciano were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Eduardo Guimarães made a kick off. Pedro Paulo Neiva's late challenge caught a Furacão F.V.C's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card.
