Pedrinho Godoi might have been able to make a better finish in the 16th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Sidney Maranhense. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Pedrinho Godoi ran back to his position shaking his head. Paulão Martins in the 19thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Sidney Maranhense showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pedrinho Godoi in the 23rd minute of the match. When the match had gone on for 26 minutes, Pedrinho Godoi took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Sidney Maranhense to make any attempt to save it. Alan Paulista showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luiz Eduardo do Valle, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. Hernani Colorado charged in rather forcefully in the 31st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Hernani Colorado the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The referee felt a red card was in order, 45 minutes into the game, when Nilton Varela put in a rough tackle. Richard Correia struck a weak shot in the 47th minute. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Paulão Martins made a kick off. Sidney Maranhense made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paulão Martins in the 58th minute of play. A collision led to Igualdade SS getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Tostão Luz hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Paulão Martins in the 62nd minute of play forced Igualdade SS's goalkeeper Sidney Maranhense to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 64th minute the ball was on its way in behind Igualdade SS's goalkeeper Sidney Maranhense, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Sidney Maranhense made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paulão Martins in the 66th minute of play. Igualdade SS's Sidney Maranhense played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Romário Vander in the 69th minute of play. In the 70th minute, Paulão Martins got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Sidney Maranhense showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Paulão Martins, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. Sidney Maranhense came out of the goal in the 80th minute to try and stop a shot by Serieme's Paulão Martins. But to his dismay, Paulão Martins quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Pedrinho Godoi hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. After 83 played minutes, Igualdade SS's Richard Correia shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Alan Paulista came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Igualdade SS reached it. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Paulão Martins in the 85th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Sidney Maranhense saved Igualdade SS from getting behind. In the 86th minute, João Pedro Félix ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Sidney Maranhense was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. Luiz Eduardo do Valle sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Serieme fully deserved thier win.
