Severino Pirani came out of the goal and Joélson Porto tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Otávio Teixeira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Roger Loureiro in the 48th minute of play. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Joélson Porto was the one to do the kick off. The Almofada supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching São Paulo FC's performance. The match ended with a win for São Paulo FC.
