Lúcio Arantes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Alexsandro Mesquita tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Miroro's Túlio Brasil shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 36th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Wágner Magalhães but with some difficulty. Carlinhos Teles could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 39th minute of the match, but Wágner Magalhães made a huge save. Carlinhos Teles sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 45 minutes, Lúcio Arantes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Lucuri's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lúcio Arantes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After the first half Lucuri were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Juninho dos Santos stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, Miroro's goalkeeper Alexsandro Mesquita had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lúcio Arantes. Wágner Magalhães stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Aleandro Fernandez's shot from short distance in the 55th minute. After a rather tough play, Lucuri's Ernani Silva got a free kick in the 57th minute. In a very dangerous position, a player in Lucuri fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 68th minute. Penalty! When Carlinhos Teles came up free with the goalie in the 75th minute, the Miroro fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Carlinhos Teles couldn't finish the play. Lucuri's Wágner Magalhães played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aleandro Fernandez in the 79th minute of play. César Arantes kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. If Lúcio Arantes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lúcio Arantes's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Alexsandro Mesquita read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 97th minute of play. 99 minutes into the match, Lucuri's goal looked a bit too open when Carlinhos Teles came free, but Wágner Magalhães reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
