After a rather tough play, Diaurum's Benedito Cordeiro got a free kick in the 9th minute. The audience was convinced that Waldir Zanette's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Bruninho Damião was relentless in the 11th minute of the game. In the 13th minute Waldir Zanette shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bruninho Damião saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bruninho Damião came out of the goal and Waldir Zanette tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 80 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Diaurum! The goalkeeper, Bruninho Damião, was totally fooled by Canatiba's Válter Gerber, who 81 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. A collision led to Diaurum getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Benedito Cordeiro hit a great ball. Benedito Cordeiro kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match. When the match was over Canatiba could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Diaurum throughout the match.
