Jeferson Peres charged in rather forcefully in the 11th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. After a defensive mix-up in Varnhagen EC's zone, Delfim Zonta stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ronaldo Costa came out of the goal and Delfim Zonta tried to chip the ball over his head. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Orlando Gonçalves to make the kick off. Vito Martins made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Orlando Gonçalves in the 52nd minute of play. If Delfim Zonta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. In the 69thth minute of the game Orlando Gonçalves who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Formos SS's Vito Martins was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpected shot in the 70th minute by Jeferson Peres got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. With a little luck, Formos SS's Vito Martins got control of the ball when Jeferson Peres tried to sneak it across the goal line. Chico Marquez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Ronaldo Costa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Vito Martins made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jeferson Peres in the 84th minute. When Jeferson Peres came up free with the goalie in the 85th minute, the Varnhagen EC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jeferson Peres couldn't finish the play. Jeferson Peres who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 88thth minute tested the skills of Vito Martins when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 95 minutes into the match, Varnhagen EC's goal looked a bit too open when Chico Marquez came free, but Ronaldo Costa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 95 minutes into the game, Antônio de Brito was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Varnhagen EC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Formos SS the free kick. When the referee ended the match the Formos SS players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
