Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Hortêncio Veiga in the 7th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Váldson Lopez prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 9 minutes into the match, Campolongo club's goal looked a bit too open when Zé Roberto Silveira came free, but Bruninho Rossi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Pereba FC's Váldson Lopez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hortêncio Veiga in the 12th minute of play. Hortêncio Veiga received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Váldson Lopez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Hortêncio Veiga did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 0-2 to the left of a surprised Váldson Lopez 54 minutes into the match. Váldson Lopez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hortêncio Veiga, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. A collision led to Pereba FC getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Gonçalo Santos hit a great ball. Váldson Lopez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hortêncio Veiga in the 68th minute of the match.
