Sume FC's Germano Melo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 17th minute of the match, managed to save Sume FC from getting a goal against them. Iulian Isvoreanu struck a weak shot in the 18th minute. Germano Melo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for C R Brasil. In the 21st minute, Lenílson Catarinense hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Adrianinho Quirino could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 22nd minute of the match, but Germano Melo made a huge save. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Celsinho Dantas in the 23rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Germano Melo saved Sume FC from getting behind. Thomas Schuh came out of the goal in the 26th minute to try and stop a shot by Sume FC's Jânio Vidal. But to his dismay, Jânio Vidal quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. A collision led to Sume FC getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Váldson Munhoz hit a great ball. José Vítor Palmeira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 37 minutes into the match, Sume FC's goalkeeper Germano Melo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Celsinho Dantas. An unexpectedly hard shot by Celsinho Dantas in the 52nd minute of play forced Sume FC's goalkeeper Germano Melo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Narciso Coutinho's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Germano Melo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 96th minute of play. Narciso Coutinho recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 97th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. C R Brasil walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
