In the 7th minute the ball was on its way in behind flamengo's goalkeeper Arí Trancoso, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When the match had gone on for 8 minutes, Oscar Llope took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Arí Trancoso to make any attempt to save it. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Carlos Augusto Barreto during the 14th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The Warriors FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. 20 minutes into the match, flamengo's goalkeeper Arí Trancoso had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Aloísio Cabral. Noel Barros received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Arí Trancoso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Arí Trancoso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Oscar Llope in the 26th minute of play. Warriors FC's Noel Barros couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for flamengo. When the match had gone on for 33 minutes, Noel Barros took a quick shot and it went in 4-0 without a chance for Arí Trancoso to make any attempt to save it. Warriors FC's Tamás Kiss got a good chance for a goal in the 45th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 4-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Tamás Kiss made the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Noel Barros in the 52nd minute of play forced flamengo's goalkeeper Arí Trancoso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Luís Arruda fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Daniel Amorim having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Tamás Kiss's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Arí Trancoso was relentless in the 62nd minute of the game. Tamás Kiss received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Arí Trancoso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 66 minutes into the match, Warriors FC's Noel Barros sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Arí Trancoso narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When Aloísio Cabral came up free with the goalie in the 67th minute, the Warriors FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Aloísio Cabral couldn't finish the play. When the match clock showed 70 minutes, the score became 6-0 when Tamás Kiss sped through flamengo's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Arí Trancoso. Luiz Fernando Favoretto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Aloísio Cabral recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 76th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 89 minutes, Tamás Kiss managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Warriors FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tamás Kiss was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Luiz Fernando Favoretto recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 94th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 95 played minutes flamengo got a freekick which was hit by Carlos Augusto Barreto. Warriors FC walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
