Sandrinho de Godoi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bernardino Mano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Oséias Fernandez made in the 16th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Artur Siqueira immediately put the ball in play. 17 minutes into the match, Cabofriense's goalkeeper Claudinei de Azevedo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Leandro Velasco. Sandrinho de Godoi didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Caio da Silva went, in the 18th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Bernardino Mano might have been able to make a better finish in the 23rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Sandrinho de Godoi. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Bernardino Mano ran back to his position shaking his head. Pedrão Maciel's late challenge caught a Cabofriense's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Pedrão Maciel helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Itaroquem's Pedrão Maciel got a free kick in the 27th minute. Caio da Silva received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. The audience was convinced that Bernardino Mano's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Sandrinho de Godoi was relentless in the 39th minute of the game. When Bebeto Bezerra fell near the penalty area in the 41st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Cabofriense's protests and gave Bebeto Bezerra a yellow card for diving instead. In the 41st minute, Bebeto Bezerra hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Itaroquem's zone, Bernardino Mano stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sandrinho de Godoi came out of the goal and Bernardino Mano tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Sandrinho de Godoi came out of the goal in the 46th minute to try and stop a shot by Cabofriense's Zeca Quaresma. But to his dismay, Zeca Quaresma quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3.

The wind increased when Bernardino Mano made the kick off in the second half. Sandrinho de Godoi made an important save on a dangerous shot by Bernardino Mano in the 53rd minute. The throw-in from Válbson da Costa in the 60th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Cabofriense's Bebeto Bezerra. Válbson da Costa hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. Itaroquem's defense didn't have a chance, in the 65th minute, when Caio da Silva scored to the left of an out of position Sandrinho de Godoi, making the score, 0-4. Sandrinho de Godoi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jefferson Gaúcho, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. Sandrinho de Godoi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edmundo Pimenta in the 71st minute of the match. If Bernardino Mano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Bernardino Mano could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 75th minute of the match, but Sandrinho de Godoi made a huge save. In the 77th minute, Caio da Silva got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 85th minute, Jefferson Gaúcho got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leandro Velasco in the 87th minute of play forced Cabofriense's goalkeeper Claudinei de Azevedo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Artur Siqueira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Claudinei de Azevedo having to interfere. Sandrinho de Godoi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bernardino Mano in the 93rd minute of play. Cabofriense's Claudinei de Azevedo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Artur Siqueira in the 94th minute of play. When the match was over Cabofriense could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Itaroquem throughout the match.
