An unexpectedly hard shot by Fausto Quadros in the 13th minute of play forced ErvaSanta FC's goalkeeper Albertino Borges to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Benjamim Cearense fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Romário Marquez having to interfere. The referee felt a red card was in order, 24 minutes into the game, when Antônio Pena put in a rough tackle. 23 minutes into the game, one of ErvaSanta FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Benjamim Cearense could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 34th minute of the match, but Romário Marquez made a huge save. 36 minutes into the match, Segmanetas's goalkeeper Romário Marquez had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Rafael Mesquita. Elano Severo kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. If Rafael Mesquita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Benjamim Cearense sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ulysses Pena fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Romário Marquez having to interfere. Romário Marquez made a fantastic save in the 45th minute, when Rafael Mesquita sent off a good shot on target. The ErvaSanta FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Segmanetas were winning 0-1.

In the 56th minute of the match César Fantini shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Romário Marquez showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Benjamim Cearense fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Romário Marquez having to interfere. ErvaSanta FC's Rafael Mesquita got a good chance for a goal in the 60th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 62nd minute, Victor Mello hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 64th minute of the match Cícero Porto sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Romário Marquez skillfully saved the ball. When the match had gone on for 65 minutes, Elano Severo took a quick shot and it went in 0-2 without a chance for Albertino Borges to make any attempt to save it. ErvaSanta FC's Albertino Borges played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Elano Severo in the 69th minute of play. Rafael Mesquita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Romário Marquez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Romário Marquez breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Rafael Mesquita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rafael Mesquita's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Romário Marquez read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 83rd minute of play. But to his dismay, Benjamim Cearense quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. After some fancy dribbling in the 88th minute, Benjamim Cearense managed to get in a good position for a shot. ErvaSanta FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Benjamim Cearense was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Romário Marquez breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Segmanetas's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
