After recieving a nice pass, Bate Saco FC's Gernando Mendes tried to score from far away in the 5th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Serafim Sabóia in the 8thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Alexsandro Ramalho, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. A collision led to Praiao SC getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Orlando da Silva hit a great ball. Serafim Sabóias short, quick shot in the 15thth minute got Alexsandro Ramalho to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jonathan Madureira in the 17th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Luís Fábio Porto prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 18 minutes into the match, Praiao SC's goalkeeper Alexsandro Ramalho had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Serafim Sabóia. If Serafim Sabóia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Serafim Sabóia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bate Saco FC's Luís Fábio Porto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jonathan Madureira in the 25th minute of play. In the 27th minute, Armando Recife left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Bate Saco FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. In the 30th minute, Praiao SC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Serafim Sabóia fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Serafim Sabóias short, quick shot in the 33rdth minute got Alexsandro Ramalho to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. The crowd rose to their feet as Serafim Sabóia kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Alexsandro Ramalho. That made the score 2-0 in the 34 minute of play. Gernando Mendes kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. Durvalino de Souza could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 45th minute of the match, but Alexsandro Ramalho made a huge save. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jonathan Madureira was the one to do the kick off. Through an outstanding action, after 51 minutes, Luís Fábio Porto successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Alexsandro Ramalho showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Serafim Sabóia, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. 60 minutes had been played when some careless play by Praiao SC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Gernando Mendes was slow to take the kick. During this time Bate Saco FC's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Gernando Mendes almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Praiao SC's Alexsandro Ramalho did a great save. In the 70th minute, Serafim Sabóia ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Alexsandro Ramalho was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. Bate Saco FC's Serafim Sabóia got a good chance for a goal in the 75th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 78 played minutes Praiao SC got a freekick which was hit by José Paulo Gerber. In the 79th minute the ball was on its way in behind Praiao SC's goalkeeper Alexsandro Ramalho, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Praiao SC's Alexsandro Ramalho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Durvalino de Souza in the 85th minute of play. When Luiz Paulo Arantes fell near the penalty area in the 86th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Praiao SC's protests and gave Luiz Paulo Arantes a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Praiao SC getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Luiz Paulo Arantes hit a great ball. Armando Recife fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alexsandro Ramalho having to interfere. Alexsandro Ramalho showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Serafim Sabóia, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. There was no doubt that Bate Saco FC were the better team. Bate Saco FC's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
