Sumidor FC's Luiz Fernando Chaves got a good chance for a goal in the 39th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Thanks to some nice moves Deivid Paulista could shoot a difficult shot in the 47th minute, which Dráusio Dantas however easily saved by the left post. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Carlinhos de Andrade stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Sumidor FC's Benjamim Neves got a free kick in the 51st minute. Carlinhos de Andrade received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Délio Vale tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Tauapeacu EC's zone, Deivid Paulista stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dráusio Dantas came out of the goal and Deivid Paulista tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. João Pedro Souza sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 78 minutes into the match, Deivid Paulista had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Dráusio Dantas. Tauapeacu EC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Deivid Paulista was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. In the 80th match minute, Tauapeacu EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Carlos Lopes to maneuver through the defense. João Pedro Souza fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dráusio Dantas having to interfere. Tauapeacu EC's Dráusio Dantas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by João Pedro Souza in the 85th minute of play. When Róbson Valle fell near the penalty area in the 85th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Tauapeacu EC's protests and gave Róbson Valle a yellow card for diving instead. In the 85th minute, Róbson Valle hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 86th minute Deivid Paulista shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dráusio Dantas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 90th minute, João Pedro Souza made a precise shot to the right of Dráusio Dantas. Tauapeacu EC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-1.
