Ramón Netto charged in rather forcefully in the 4th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ramón Netto the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 4th match minute, Salvador Placar FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ramón Netto to maneuver through the defense. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tiago Travassos in the 7th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Fernandinho Ramalho prevented the ball from getting in the gole. David Cearense sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. David Cearense could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 16th minute of the match, but Fernandinho Ramalho made a huge save. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Chiquinho Andrade during the 17th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Chiquinho Andrade kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. Tiago Travassos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fernandinho Ramalho having to interfere. In the 20th minute, Tiago Travassos reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Fernandinho Ramalho. The goal made the score 1-0. Waldir Sabóia was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 25th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Fernandinho Ramalho didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from David Cearense went, in the 26th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. Chiquinho Andrade was shown his second yellow card after 32 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. In the 32nd minute, Chiquinho Andrade hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 33rd minute, Salvador Placar FC's Tiago Travassos ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Fernandinho Ramalho. Fernandinho Ramalho yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-0. Tiago Travassos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fernandinho Ramalho having to interfere. Salvador Placar FC's David Cearense got a good chance for a goal in the 38th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 40th minute, Tiago Travassos got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. David Cearense recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 45th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Tiago Travassos struck a weak shot in the 47th minute. Fernandinho Ramalho didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Salvador Placar FC. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Baltazar Vianna to make the kick off. 51 minutes into the match, Tiago Travassos notched a goal, 4-0, to the right of Hurracan Guey's Fernandinho Ramalho. Fernandinho Ramalho was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. David Cearense sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tiago Travassos in the 57th minute of play forced Hurracan Guey's goalkeeper Fernandinho Ramalho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Salvador Placar FC's Tiago Travassos got a good chance for a goal in the 62nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Tiago Travassos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fernandinho Ramalho having to interfere. 68 minutes into the game, David Cearense cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-0. Fernandinho Ramalho was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 73 minutes into the game, David Cearense was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Salvador Placar FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Hurracan Guey the free kick. David Cearense kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. In the 78th minute David Cearense shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fernandinho Ramalho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 80th minute, Tiago Travassos got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Fernandinho Ramalho showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from David Cearense, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. In the 92nd minute David Cearense shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fernandinho Ramalho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fernandinho Ramalho stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tiago Travassos's shot from short distance in the 93rd minute. Edmílson Figueiredo's late challenge caught a Salvador Placar FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Edmílson Figueiredo helped the player get up and apologised. There was no doubt that Salvador Placar FC were the better team. Salvador Placar FC's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
