Gino Xavier received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Pedro Luís Tande tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Elivélton do Valle came up free with the goalie in the 19th minute, the igara F.C fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Elivélton do Valle couldn't finish the play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gino Xavier in the 20th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Pedro Luís Tande prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The audience thought a goal was coming when Elivélton do Valle got free with Pedro Luís Tande in the 21st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Elivélton do Valle scored 2-0 in the 23rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Pedro Luís Tande, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Lúcio Mesquita during the 26th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to igara F.C getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Lúcio Mesquita hit a great ball. Durvalino Pena received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Pedro Luís Tande tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gino Xavier's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 42ndth minute, Pedro Luís Tande skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 43rd minute, Gino Xavier got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Luiz Paulo Ramos was the one to do the kick off. Pedro Luís Tande made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Elivélton do Valle in the 57th minute of play. In the 58thth minute of the game Gino Xavier who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Os Espartanos's Pedro Luís Tande was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Marcel Alvarenga's late challenge caught a Os Espartanos's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Marcel Alvarenga helped the player get up and apologised. After having played for 76 minutes, Elivélton do Valle managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. igara F.C's supporters crossed their fingers, but Elivélton do Valle was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Marcel Alvarenga took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 78th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Pedro Luís Tande. Os Espartanos's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 79th minute of the match Chicão do Nascimento sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Pedro Luís Tande skillfully saved the ball. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. igara F.C fully deserved thier win.
