Pote SS's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave BANGÚ LUZIENSE the free kick. Charles de Godoi hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. Tony Paes received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Gustavo Costa came out and tried to block the shot, but Tony Paes slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 16th minute. In the 19th minute, Fernandinho do Valle hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Tony Paes came up free with the goalie in the 22nd minute, the BANGÚ LUZIENSE fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tony Paes couldn't finish the play. In the last second Gustavo Costa throw himself and got hold of the ball when Arnaldo Cunha in the 28thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. 29 minutes into the match, Pote SS's goalkeeper Gustavo Costa had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Diego Nunes. If Tony Paes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 39 minutes into the game, Diego Nunes lined in a short shot 3-0 behind a frustrated Gustavo Costa. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

The wind increased when Jairo Goiano made the kick off in the second half. Gustavo Costa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arnaldo Cunha, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Inácio Pinheiro came up free with the goalie in the 54th minute, the BANGÚ LUZIENSE fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Inácio Pinheiro couldn't finish the play. Gustavo Costa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Inácio Pinheiro, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. 85 minutes into the match, BANGÚ LUZIENSE's goalkeeper Ediberto Lira had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Paulo Camargo. In the 88th minute, Arnaldo Cunha made a precise shot to the right of Gustavo Costa. Pote SS's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-1.
