The crowd rose to their feet as Dráusio Braga kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Dadá de Barros. That made the score 2-0 in the 38 minute of play. In the 43rd minute, Pedra Dura's Raphael Queirós ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Dadá de Barros. Dadá de Barros yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-0. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

The wind increased when Dráusio Braga made the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Caxias getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Róbson Penha hit a great ball. Roger Linhares took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 53rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Dadá de Barros. Caxias's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Dráusio Braga in the 55th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dadá de Barros saved Caxias from getting behind. In the 57th match minute, Pedra Dura was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vladimir Paraense to maneuver through the defense. When the match had gone on for 63 minutes, Gernando Paiva took a quick shot and it went in 3-1 without a chance for Eliseu Mazza to make any attempt to save it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dráusio Braga in the 72nd minute of play forced Caxias's goalkeeper Dadá de Barros to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 90 minutes, Norberto Vinhas mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Caxias and the Pedra Dura players grew even worse after the yellow card. Dadá de Barros showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dráusio Braga, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Dráusio Braga in the 94th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dadá de Barros saved Caxias from getting behind. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Pedra Dura had played much better football throughout.
