Nilson Leão made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. Nilson Leão didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jardel Neiva went, in the 17th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. Nilson Leão showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rodrigo Azevedo in the 20th minute of the match. When Nando Barral fell near the penalty area in the 24th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Greens Fields AD's protests and gave Nando Barral a yellow card for diving instead. ITAJAI SC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Rômulo da Rocha in the 26th minute. The corner led ITAJAI SC's Bruninho Sampaio to a score. 3-1 in the 27th minute. Nilson Leão made a fantastic save in the 31st minute, when Jardel Neiva sent off a good shot on target. In the 40th minute of the match, Rodrigo Azevedo tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Nilson Leão saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Nilson Leão showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nando Barral in the 43rd minute of the match. Rodrigo Azevedo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nilson Leão having to interfere.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Paulo Machado to strike the kick off in the second half. A collision led to ITAJAI SC getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Zé Schmidt hit a great ball. Rômulo da Rocha fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Inácio Silva having to interfere. Nilson Leão took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rodrigo Azevedo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 63 minutes, Paulo Machado mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the ITAJAI SC and the Greens Fields AD players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Greens Fields AD booed when ITAJAI SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Paulo Machado didn't get a good kick on the ball. Nilson Leão came out of the goal in the 64th minute to try and stop a shot by Greens Fields AD's Jardel Neiva. But to his dismay, Jardel Neiva quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 70th minute, Jardel Neiva managed to get in a good position for a shot. Greens Fields AD's supporters rose to their feet, but Jardel Neiva was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nilson Leão breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 73rd minute, Rômulo da Rocha got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Rodrigo Azevedo came up free with the goalie in the 74th minute, the Greens Fields AD fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rodrigo Azevedo couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in ITAJAI SC's zone, Jardel Neiva stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nilson Leão came out of the goal and Jardel Neiva tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 82 minutes into the match, Rodrigo Azevedo notched a goal, 5-1, to the right of ITAJAI SC's Nilson Leão. Nilson Leão was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 89th minute the ball was on its way in behind ITAJAI SC's goalkeeper Nilson Leão, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Nilson Leão stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Rodrigo Azevedo's shot from short distance in the 92nd minute. Nilson Leão took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rodrigo Azevedo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rodrigo Azevedo in the 95th minute of play forced ITAJAI SC's goalkeeper Nilson Leão to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nilson Leão came out of the goal in the 97th minute to try and stop a shot by Greens Fields AD's Rodrigo Azevedo. But to his dismay, Rodrigo Azevedo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 6-1.
