Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Lucas Arósio made the kick off and thus started the match. After a rather tough play, Caravellas SS's Enio de Lima got a free kick in the 3rd minute. C. R. Flamengo's Eusébio Vergílio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nilson Fantini in the 5th minute of play. After 6 minutes, Rafinha Leme mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the C. R. Flamengo and the Caravellas SS players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 6 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for C. R. Flamengo! The referee gave Caravellas SS a penalty, 8 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Durval Corrêa, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of C. R. Flamengo's Eusébio Vergílio. 1-0. Eusébio Vergílio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nilson Fantini, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Marcinho Chaves in the 13th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Oscar Camargo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Lucas Arósio struck a weak shot in the 15th minute. Oscar Camargo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for C. R. Flamengo. 18 minutes into the game, Claudinei Nascimento cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Oscar Camargo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Nilson Fantini received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Eusébio Vergílio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Nilson Fantini got free with Eusébio Vergílio in the 32nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Caravellas SS's Diego Vergílio got a good chance for a goal in the 34th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 46th minute Nilson Fantini shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eusébio Vergílio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Nilson Fantini stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Eusébio Vergílio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Enio de Lima, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 72nd minute, Natanael Dante hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Eusébio Vergílio stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Diego Vergílio's shot from short distance in the 75th minute. Claudinei Nascimento received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Flamengo could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Caravellas SS throughout the match.
