Ademar Machado tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 32 minutes into the game, Glauco Koehler was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Fidelo's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Vila Valqueire United the free kick. A collision led to Fidelo getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Glauco Koehler hit a great ball. The supporters of Vila Valqueire United booed when Fidelo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dênis Toledo didn't get a good kick on the ball. 42 minutes had been played when some careless play by Fidelo's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. After having played for 50 minutes, Geovani Breckenfeld managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Fidelo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Geovani Breckenfeld was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After the first half Fidelo were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ramiro Souza made a kick off. 57 minutes into the match, Fidelo's Geovani Breckenfeld sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Nilmar Nunes narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Nilmar Nunes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ramiro Souza, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Fidelo's Marcelinho Vergílio got a free kick in the 79th minute. After having played for 81 minutes, Almir Novaes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Vila Valqueire United's supporters crossed their fingers, but Almir Novaes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Nilmar Nunes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ramiro Souza in the 93rd minute of play. Nilmar Nunes made a fantastic save in the 96th minute, when Geovani Breckenfeld sent off a good shot on target. The Fidelo players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Vila Valqueire United from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
