Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Saraiva's Zé Paulo Montenegro started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Kauan Gaspar charged in rather forcefully in the 3rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Kauan Gaspar the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Caravellas SS getting a freekick after 3 minutes play. Kauan Gaspar hit a great ball. In the 6th minute, Kauan Gaspar left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Caravellas SS fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Diego Vergílio could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 12th minute of the match, but Antônio Carlos Cabral made a huge save. Manuel Furlan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 22 played minutes, Saraiva's Jean Chaves shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Oscar Camargo came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Saraiva reached it. Oscar Camargo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zé Paulo Montenegro in the 26th minute of the match. Oscar Camargo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zé Paulo Montenegro, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. Oscar Camargo came out of the goal in the 29th minute to try and stop a shot by Saraiva's Manuel Furlan. But to his dismay, Manuel Furlan quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Durval Corrêa's late challenge caught a Saraiva's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Durval Corrêa helped the player get up and apologised. In the 33rd minute, Durval Corrêa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 35th minute, Zé Paulo Montenegro ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Oscar Camargo was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Nilson Fantini in the 40th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Antônio Carlos Cabral prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 43 minutes into the match, Saraiva's goalkeeper Antônio Carlos Cabral had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Diego Vergílio. Antônio Carlos Cabral made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nilson Fantini in the 45th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 46th minute, Carlos Fernandes managed to get in a good position for a shot. Saraiva's supporters rose to their feet, but Carlos Fernandes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Oscar Camargo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Nilson Fantini made the kick off in the second half. Nilson Fantini received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. Antônio Carlos Cabral tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 54th minute Nilson Fantini shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Antônio Carlos Cabral saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 58 minutes into the match, Caravellas SS's Diego Vergílio sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Antônio Carlos Cabral narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Antônio Carlos Cabral showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kauan Gaspar in the 61st minute of the match. Zé Paulo Montenegro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 62nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a little luck, Caravellas SS's Oscar Camargo got control of the ball when Danilo Paes tried to sneak it across the goal line. Narciso Severo struck a weak shot in the 64th minute. Oscar Camargo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Saraiva. In the 66th minute, Narciso Severo reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Oscar Camargo. The goal made the score 1-3. Zé Paulo Montenegro's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Oscar Camargo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 69th minute of play. Saraiva's Antônio Carlos Cabral played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nilson Fantini in the 70th minute of play. When Danilo Paes fell near the penalty area in the 71st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Saraiva's protests and gave Danilo Paes a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Caravellas SS booed when Saraiva was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Danilo Paes didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 72 minutes, Diego Vergílio mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Caravellas SS and the Saraiva players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 72 played minutes Caravellas SS got a freekick which was hit by Diego Vergílio. In the 76th minute, Saraiva's Manuel Furlan ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Oscar Camargo. Oscar Camargo yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-4. Danilo Paes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Oscar Camargo having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Enio de Lima during the 81st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. If Narciso Severo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 85th minute Manuel Furlan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Oscar Camargo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 86 minutes into the match, Nilson Fantini notched a goal, 2-4, to the right of Saraiva's Antônio Carlos Cabral. Antônio Carlos Cabral was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Antônio Carlos Cabral took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nilson Fantini, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Kauan Gaspar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Antônio Carlos Cabral having to interfere. In the 95th minute, Renan Marques ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Antônio Carlos Cabral was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-4. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Saraiva had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
