In the 12th minute, BARCELONA FC's Dedê Pontes dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. Percy Borges received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. João Vítor Porto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dedê Pontes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 29 minutes into the match, BARCELONA FC's goal looked a bit too open when Percy Borges came free, but João Vítor Porto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Claudinei Arruda struck a weak shot in the 31st minute. Geovânio Donatello didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for BARCELONA FC. If Percy Borges had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 35th minute José Maranhense shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but João Vítor Porto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dedê Pontes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Geovânio Donatello having to interfere. Murillo Rosado charged in rather forcefully in the 39th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Murillo Rosado the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Claudinei Arruda received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. João Vítor Porto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Percy Borges, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Percy Borges in the 48th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck João Vítor Porto prevented the ball from getting in the gole.

The wind increased when Dedê Pontes made the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd match minute, BARCELONA FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Waldemar Breckenfeld to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 55 minutes, José Maranhense managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Xeneize MZF's supporters crossed their fingers, but José Maranhense was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of Xeneize MZF booed when BARCELONA FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vitório Viana didn't get a good kick on the ball. 58 minutes into the match, BARCELONA FC's goalkeeper João Vítor Porto had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Percy Borges. In the 64th minute, Paulo de Moraes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 73 minutes, Cauan Duarte managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Xeneize MZF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cauan Duarte was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. During the 74th minute of the match Vitório Viana completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Vitório Viana a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. A collision led to BARCELONA FC getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Vitório Viana hit a great ball. After 80 played minutes BARCELONA FC got a freekick which was hit by Dedê Pontes. Geovânio Donatello showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Claudinei Arruda, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. João Vítor Porto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from José Maranhense in the 87th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in BARCELONA FC's zone, José Maranhense stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. João Vítor Porto came out of the goal and José Maranhense tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Percy Borges fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without João Vítor Porto having to interfere. After a rather tough play, BARCELONA FC's Waldemar Breckenfeld got a free kick in the 94th minute. Dedê Pontes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 98th minute.
