Spectators: 7184 (Terracing: 5390, Seating: 1652, VIP seats: 142) Sandrinho Velloso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 4th minute. Cléberson Maciel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Olívio Nunes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cléberson Maciel came out of the goal in the 14th minute to try and stop a shot by Granito RS's Sandrinho Velloso. But to his dismay, Sandrinho Velloso quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. If Serginho Lara had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Anderson Eger hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. In the 26th minute, one of Querida:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Querida. In the 27th minute there was a penalty for Granito RS. Enéas de Toledo stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Cléberson Maciel. 2-0. Cléberson Maciel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Anderson Eger, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Granito RS's zone, Serginho Lara stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bernard Bojanowski came out of the goal and Serginho Lara tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Bernard Bojanowski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marcel Travassos in the 38th minute of the match. After having played for 39 minutes, Serginho Lara managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Querida's supporters crossed their fingers, but Serginho Lara was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Serginho Lara recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 41st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 42nd minute Serginho Lara shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bernard Bojanowski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 44th minute, Serginho Lara managed to get in a good position for a shot. Querida's supporters rose to their feet, but Serginho Lara was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bernard Bojanowski breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 48th minute, Marcel Travassos left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Querida fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Marcel Travassos to make the kick off. 54 minutes into the match, Querida's goal looked a bit too open when Olívio Nunes came free, but Cléberson Maciel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the Querida defense, Sandrinho Velloso kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Cléberson Maciel. The Querida fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Cléberson Maciel should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Olívio Nunes in the 70th minute of play forced Querida's goalkeeper Cléberson Maciel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Granito RS's Olívio Nunes got a good chance for a goal in the 76th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Sandrinho Velloso in the 84th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Cléberson Maciel saved Querida from getting behind. If Serginho Lara had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, Granito RS's Bernard Bojanowski got control of the ball when Marcel Travassos tried to sneak it across the goal line. The Granito RS players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
