When Flavinho do Vale came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the Horizonte fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Flavinho do Vale couldn't finish the play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

Bebeto Sabóia kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. 61 minutes into the match, Horizonte's Tomé Alagoano broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. After 64 minutes of play, Horizonte's Flavinho do Vale made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Rubens Maciel was left in no man's land by his defense there! After some fancy dribbling in the 68th minute, Diguinho da Silva managed to get in a good position for a shot. Kushikime's supporters rose to their feet, but Diguinho da Silva was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Aníbal Gomes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Arnaldo Simão received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Aníbal Gomes came out and tried to block the shot, but Arnaldo Simão slotted it home off the left post making it 3-1 in the 69th minute. Diguinho da Silva didn't miss a given chance and shot in short distance 3-2 via right post in the game's 73rd minute. Kushikime's supporters showed their exhuberating excitement! The supporters of Kushikime booed when Horizonte was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Acácio Leite didn't get a good kick on the ball.
