The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 4 minutes into the match, José Augusto Neto notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Jacurutu AD's Cipriano Linhares. Cipriano Linhares was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Cipriano Linhares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from José Augusto Neto in the 7th minute of the match. If Tostão Pires had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jacurutu AD's Cipriano Linhares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by José Augusto Neto in the 15th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tostão Pires got free with Elvin Bourgouin in the 18th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Jacurutu AD's Kiko Carneiro got a good chance for a goal in the 21st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Cipriano Linhares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from José Augusto Neto in the 23rd minute of play. If Tostão Pires had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 28 minutes, Tostão Pires made it 1-1 with a short kick to the right side. QUEBRA OSSO FC's Elvin Bourgouin tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Tostão Pires fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Elvin Bourgouin having to interfere. Adrianinho Botelho kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. Sílvio Luís Brodel could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 37th minute of the match, but Elvin Bourgouin made a huge save. After some careless play in the Jacurutu AD defense, José Augusto Neto kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Cipriano Linhares. The Jacurutu AD fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Cipriano Linhares should have stopped the shot. Alfredo Simões took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 42nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Cipriano Linhares. Jacurutu AD's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 44 minutes into the game, QUEBRA OSSO FC's José Augusto Neto nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Cipriano Linhares made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-3. After a rather tough play, Jacurutu AD's Didi Brito got a free kick in the 48th minute. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-3 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Tostão Pires was the one to do the kick off. Elvin Bourgouin didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Tostão Pires went, in the 57th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-3 was the resulting score. Tostão Pires recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 60th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Edmundo Chaves sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by José Augusto Neto in the 64th minute of play forced Jacurutu AD's goalkeeper Cipriano Linhares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Didi Brito hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. In the 68th minute Tostão Pires shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Elvin Bourgouin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 70th minute, Joel Paraense hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 71 played minutes, Jacurutu AD's Edmundo Chaves shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Elvin Bourgouin came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Jacurutu AD reached it. The audience was convinced that Tostão Pires's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Elvin Bourgouin was relentless in the 73rd minute of the game. In the 73rd match minute, QUEBRA OSSO FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Adrianinho Botelho to maneuver through the defense. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Jacurutu AD fully deserved thier win.
