Spectators: 7286 (Terracing: 5467, Seating: 1675, VIP seats: 144) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Osvaldo Maia got the match started through his kick off. Osvaldo Maia's late challenge caught a Limoeiro's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Osvaldo Maia helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Limoeiro booed when Aroeirinha was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Osvaldo Maia didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 4th match minute, Limoeiro was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Oswaldo Recife to maneuver through the defense. Limoeiro's Juan Prata played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Osvaldo Maia in the 10th minute of play. Ediberto dos Santos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paulo Renato Mendes having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Aroeirinha's Willian Teixeira got a free kick in the 14th minute. Ediberto dos Santos could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 18th minute of the match, but Paulo Renato Mendes made a huge save. After a defensive mix-up in Aroeirinha's zone, Ediberto dos Santos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Paulo Renato Mendes came out of the goal and Ediberto dos Santos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 25 minutes into the match, Limoeiro's Ediberto dos Santos sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Paulo Renato Mendes narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Hudson Netto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. If Ediberto dos Santos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Manfredo Marquez hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. Gino de Lara took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 36th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Paulo Renato Mendes. Aroeirinha's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 36th match minute, Limoeiro was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ediberto dos Santos to maneuver through the defense. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ediberto dos Santos in the 38th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Paulo Renato Mendes saved Aroeirinha from getting behind. 41 minutes into the game, Ediberto dos Santos recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Paulo Renato Mendes. Ediberto dos Santos showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. If Ediberto dos Santos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 46th minute, Willian Teixeira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Alexandre Araújo, 47 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

When Limoeiro's Ediberto dos Santos in the 56th minute got a chance for a shot 56th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Aroeirinha's goalie prevented a goal. Ediberto dos Santos struck a weak shot in the 57th minute. Paulo Renato Mendes didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Limoeiro. 61 minutes into the match, Aroeirinha's goal looked a bit too open when Ediberto dos Santos came free, but Paulo Renato Mendes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Limoeiro's Juan Prata proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 65th minute of the match, managed to save Limoeiro from getting a goal against them. Juan Prata made an important save on a dangerous shot by Osvaldo Maia in the 67th minute. 71 minutes into the match, Limoeiro's goal looked a bit too open when Ernani Teixeira came free, but Juan Prata reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 72nd minute Osvaldo Maia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Juan Prata saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Paulo Renato Mendes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ediberto dos Santos, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. After 76 minutes of play, Limoeiro's Ediberto dos Santos made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Paulo Renato Mendes was left in no man's land by his defense there! A collision led to Aroeirinha getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Rafinha Lopes hit a great ball. Ediberto dos Santos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paulo Renato Mendes having to interfere. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Limoeiro were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest.
