The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Raí de Amorim made a fantastic save in the 16th minute, when Hortêncio Loureiro sent off a good shot on target. Durvalino Ferraz was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Raí de Amorim showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alfredinho Guimarães in the 30th minute of the match. Durvalino Ferraz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from João Adolfo Freire, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. 34 minutes into the match, Camacandi SC's goal looked a bit too open when Silvinho Sabóia came free, but Durvalino Ferraz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Camacandi SC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alfredinho Guimarães was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, Camacandi SC's Manoel Loyola got a free kick in the 41st minute. Silvinho Sabóia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Durvalino Ferraz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 48th minute the ball was on its way in behind Floripa Runners's goalkeeper Raí de Amorim, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

The wind increased when Alfredinho Guimarães made the kick off in the second half. Raí de Amorim took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hortêncio Loureiro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Hortêncio Loureiro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 54th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Floripa Runners's Raí de Amorim played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hortêncio Loureiro in the 69th minute of play.
